I have completed a new tool for my work bench, a 12 VDC power supply for light duty situations. The circuit was from the internet, thousands to choose from. Full bridge rectification and voltage regulated by 7812 IC regulator. I have enjoyed this Hammond project case, as it has been a nice professional package that will look great on the tool bench.
This image is it turned on, I added a panel meter that measures output voltage. Also a LED to help me remember that I have it tuned on. Four binding posts, only two are in operation at this time. There is room for another Amp Meter and I will be able to use the other posts for some other lower voltage like 5 or 6 volts.
This is the backside. The supply is built on a small aluminum chassis in the traditional way that includes a mains fuse and also a mains switch. I could have added the switch to the front side but wanted to contain most HV inside the chassis can.
